Before the Surgery

About a year ago, I had my first rhinoplasty where a silicone implant was used for the bridge of my nose, and the tip was raised up using donated rib cartilage and septal cartilage. However, over time, the tip began to droop again, and it even started to look wider and less defined than before the surgery. I became increasingly dissatisfied with the result and started considering revision surgery.
Since I wanted this to be my final surgery, I spent a lot of time researching reputable clinics and surgeons. That’s when I discovered DL Plastic Surgery Clinic. Not only did they have great reviews, but I also came across before-and-after photos of patients with a similar droopy tip (so-called “arrow-nose”) issue like mine. Week 1

In my previous surgery, I had used donated rib cartilage, and I would sometimes experience pain and swelling at the tip of my nose, especially when I wasn’t feeling well. This time, I opted for autologous rib cartilage (my own), since it tends to trigger less immune response.
Although there was some discomfort around my rib area after surgery, I felt mentally more at ease knowing that the material used came from my own body. As of now, the incision area on my nose is still a bit red and there’s some general swelling, but once the splint was removed, I could already see a much more defined and satisfying nasal line. It gave me a lot of hope for the final result.

Week 3

At the three-week mark, the swelling had noticeably reduced, and the redness around the incisions had improved significantly. In the beginning, due to the swelling, I couldn’t clearly see the effect of the nostril asymmetry correction—but now that things have settled more, the difference is quite clear.
My nose looks more balanced, sleek, and refined, and I genuinely feel happier with my appearance. Some friends even told me I’m giving off K-pop idol vibes, which was such a fun compliment!
The clinic has been amazing with post-op care—especially helping with swelling management. When I felt a bit unwell and was worried about the swelling coming back, they even provided IV fluids free of charge, which was a thoughtful and reassuring gesture.

1 Month

One month after the surgery, what I love the most is definitely my side profile. So many of my friends have complimented me, saying I look so much more refined and polished since the revision surgery. I’m especially happy with how the line flows smoothly from my forehead, down to my nose, lips, and chin—it’s exactly the harmony I was hoping for.
Dr. Jeong clearly has a great eye for aesthetics. I now understand why DL’s signature “dream profile line” has such a good reputation. It really makes a difference! I feel confident enough to recommend DL to any of my friends who are considering rhinoplasty.

3 Months

Now at three months post-op, I’ve noticed that my overall facial image has become more urban and sophisticated. I’ve even heard people say my eyes look bigger, which surprised me in a good way. It’s amazing how much difference a well-shaped nose can make to the entire face.
Hearing those compliments made me really reflect, and when I look in the mirror now, I do feel like my face looks more harmonious and elevated overall. I’m truly glad I decided to go ahead with the revision.
At this point, all the swelling seems to have subsided, and thankfully, I didn’t experience any pain or major discomfort like I did after my first surgery. The recovery this time was so much smoother. Every time I visited the clinic, Dr. Jeong carefully checked on my progress and patiently answered all my questions, which made the recovery process so much more reassuring and stress-free.

Now that it’s been six months, I feel like my nose line has fully settled. It looks incredibly natural and fits my overall facial proportions perfectly. The design suits me so well that I honestly couldn’t be happier with the result.
