EJ’s Real Story

Before the Surgery

I am getting double eyelid revision surgery, rhinoplasty, fat grafting, and facial contouring at DL Plastic Surgery. Previously, I had double eyelid surgery, but I wasn’t fully satisfied with the results, as the shape of the eyes didn’t change so much. My face appeared flat and angular, so I wanted to achieve a softer, more feminine facial contour. After multiple consultations, I chose DL Plastic Surgery for my procedures. For my eyes, the doctor suggested to refine the eyelid lines to create a natural-looking double eyelid, enhancing the overall size and appearance of my eyes. Regarding my nose, I had a prior rhinoplasty that didn’t meet my expectations, so I aimed for a slimmer, more defined profile with a natural, high bridge. For facial contouring, my cheekbones were quite prominent, and my chin lacked volume, so the doctor suggested a slight chin advancement to harmonize with the new nose line.

Day 2

After waking up in the recovery room post-surgery, I didn’t initially feel pain due to the anesthesia. Instead, I felt a little nauseated and dizzy. It started to hurt around my mouth as time passed. Once the blood bag was removed, the pain around my mouth disappeared, and I could open my mouth more easily. When I got home, I made porridge and found eating with an ice cream spoon manageable. By the second day, my face was swollen to the point where I couldn’t open my eyes, but the swelling reduced as I moved around and applied ice packs. Although the swelling persisted, speaking became slightly easier. My pronunciation was slightly unclear, but I felt no pain while talking or eating, so I didn’t need painkillers. During a follow-up visit, the doctor confirmed that the surgery went well!! I was relived to hear that.

Week 1

It was incredible to feel so much more comfortable than last week, and I could see the swelling gradually go down. During my hospital visit, I got stitches removed, and received an injection to reduce the swelling, which sped up the process. I also got a post-care treatment that helped the swelling disappear faster than I expected. After the nose splint was removed, I was thrilled to see how beautiful the new contour looked in the mirror. As for my nose, once the stitches and internal cotton were removed, I could breathe much more easily. There was no pain or discomfort at all. I’m eagerly waiting for the remaining swelling to go down! Regarding the facial contouring, the dissolvable stitches are healing well, with no pain or discomfort. I’m really pleased with the results.

Week 2

Two weeks after the surgery, the swelling on my face has decreased quite a bit. I started wearing makeup carefully. The initial swelling under my chin, which made it look like I had a double chin, has subsided, and I’m pleased with the results so far. Although I still experience some swelling, especially in the mornings, it reduces by evening. The dissolvable stitches in my mouth are convenient but cause slight discomfort when eating. Overall, the surgery went well, and I’m just waiting for the remaining swelling to go away completely.

1 Month

After the surgery, initially the area under my chin felt numb, but now I can feel my chin much better. My cheekbone area has healed remarkably well! I’m so please with the facial line, because it’s just how I wanted before the surgery. I can now eat without any restrictions, and brushing my teeth has been problem-free. I haven’t experienced any discomfort since the surgery. I’ve been getting compliments on looking younger and having a sophisticated, graceful appearance.

3 Months

It’s been three months since the surgery, and the swelling seems like it’s almost gone, even in the mornings. I still experience some tightness occasionally, so I make sure to stretch my chin regularly. The incision inside my mouth has smoothed out, and I can no longer feel any unevenness with my tongue. Chewing has been completely normal. As my face continues to look better, I’ve started asking others to take pictures of me instead of taking selfies. I’m so happy to see that I look like the filtered-self from the pictures that other people take of me. I’m thrilled with the natural-looking results, and it’s great that people can’t tell I had surgery. I would totally recommend DL to my close friends who are interested in getting plastic surgery! I’m glad that I chose DL 🙂
