Before the Surgery

Ever since middle school, I always wanted to get facial contouring surgery. My cheekbones were large and protruding outward, which has always been one of my biggest insecurities. I often tried to hide my face with bangs and side hair to make it seem smaller. I also wanted bigger eyes, so I got double eyelid surgery elsewhere last year, but it didn’t improve my eyes much, and I was not satisfied with the results. One day, while flipping through Instagram, I saw DL’s Real Model Application and decided to apply. I was thrilled when I got a call saying I had been chosen as a DL Real Model. The consultation was very thorough. Both Dr. Jeong and the consultation manager listened to me and recommended procedures suitable for me.

Day 1

After the surgery, I felt a little tired, but I didn’t experience any pain. My nose and eyes started to swell, and with the stuffing inside my nose, it was hard to breathe. It was uncomfortable having to constantly breathe through my mouth. I was worried about pressing on my face or nose while sleeping, so I went to bed in a slanted position and kept waking up throughout the night.

Day 2

I felt even more swollen. Breathing was harder, and the stuffing in my nose felt larger as it absorbed the discharges. During my check-up and dressing, Dr. Jeong removed the stuffing from my nose. It was a bit painful, but it made a significant difference! Although there was still some blood and discharge, breathing through my nose was much easier. I continued using three pillows when I slept.

Day 3

My eyes, nose, and face were still swollen, so I walked around my neighborhood wearing a mask. Eating was difficult because of the stitches inside my mouth.

Week 1

I went to DL to have the splint and stitches removed. Seeing my new nose line made me so happy! Dr. Jeong also removed the silicone sheet from my nose. I received exfoliation, pure oxygen therapy, a customized LED program, and deswelling IV. The staff at DL were incredibly kind and caring.

Week 2

Most of the swelling was gone, and I could return to my daily life! My friends all said I look much prettier and were curious about the surgery and DL clinic details. Some friends had advised me not to get the nose surgery, thinking my nose was already pretty, but after seeing the results, they agreed it was a good choice. I’m so satisfied! I can’t wait for all the swelling to go down~

Week 3

I can breathe normally now. I sleep better at night since I’m not worried about pressing on my nose. Every check-up, I get deswelling injections and aftercare. DL’s postoperative care system is so well planned out! It really helped me recover quickly. I almost forget my previous face at this point. I love checking myself out in the mirror, and what I love most after the surgery is being able to keep my hair out of my face and show off my pretty face line!

1 Month

I’ve developed a new habit of taking selfies now that I love how I look! I used to spend hours photoshopping my face to be satisfied with photos, but now I can take selfies without a filter! My face is much slimmer, and I think I look really natural. Throughout the first month, Dr. Jeong and the staff at DL were so supportive, and whenever I had a question or worry, they were always there for me. I can confidently recommend DL if you are considering facial contouring surgery or a nose job!

2 Months

After 2 months, I was getting used to receiving compliments about my new face. I’m so happy that my biggest insecurity is gone. My nose turned out exactly as I wanted, and I’m very satisfied with my eyes too! I feel much more confident and positive about many things. I just feel like a happier person now! 🙂

3 Months

Now that I have such a soft, feminine face line, I want to try different hairstyles and makeup. I was always hesitant to go swimming because I wasn’t confident showing my face without hiding it with my hair, but now I can go swimming all I want! I’m so glad I applied for this opportunity and had my surgery at DL. I’m extremely grateful to Dr. Jeong and all the DL staff for taking such great care of me!
